All products are made using 1/8 inch 450 or 550 pound test parachute cord aka paracord.
[+][−]Why does it cost more to buy a product made with reflective paracord??
Reflective paracord is made with special triple retro-reflective tracers. By making the cord with these reflective tracers it increases the time and cost of manufacturing the cord therefore the purchase cost also increases.
[+][−]What do you use for the core inside the monkey fist knot?
We offer a selection of items to use as the core for most of our products. Our zipper pulls and mini keychains are made using a wooden ball core. Regular size keychains are made with either a standard dice, 3/4 inch wood ball or 3/4 inch steel ball. Large size keychains are made with either a 1 inch steel ball or 1 inch wood ball. The X-Large keychain is made with a 1 1/4 inch wooden ball.

The weight varies depending on which monkey fist product you are interested in purchasing. On each of the product pages we list the weight of all the available cores.

Currently we use parachute cord for all of our products.
[+][−]How long are the monkey fist keychains?
All of our keychain lengths are approximate. Mini keychains are 4 inches. Regular and large keychains are 8 inches. All keychains are made to where they can be adjusted if you desire a shorter length.

Zipper pulls measure approximately 4 inches in length.
[+][−]Will the color of my product match the color shown in your pictures?
We have made every effort to thoroughly describe each product including all available options and accurately display the color of the cords. Differences in computer monitors, screen resolution, and other factors could cause colors to appear in shades or tones that are not 100% accurate. If precision in color selection is important, it is recommended that your contact us regarding a cord sample prior to ordering.

No. All of our products are handmade here in the U.S.A by skilled employees to ensure the highest quality craftsmanship possible.
[+][−]How do I adjust my keychain to make it shorter?
The loop on the keyring end of the keychain is made with a type of noose knot. This allows for the noose to slide down the string making the end loop larger and the keychain shorter.
[+][−]Do your keychains come with the metal keyring?
No. Before launching our business we did a random survey asking people their opinion regarding the need for the metal keyring. The results of that survey were that people looking for a keychain almost always have an existing set of keys with at least one metal keyring on that set. Therefore, we felt it unecessary to add a keyring to our keychains because most people said they would end up not using it anyways. Since our keychains are so easy to attach to your existing keyring we save our customers money by not making them pay extra money for something they don't need.
[+][−]How do I attach a monkey fist keychain to my existing keyring?
Very simple. You slide the loop of the keychain onto the ring exactly as you would when putting a key on the ring. We have illustraded pictures that show step by step how to attach the keychain.

Yes, we can custom make just about any type of monkey fist product you desire. Please use our contact form to send us information about the products you would like for us to custom make.

Currently we do not have a retail location where products can be purchased or picked up in person.

Yes, we have frequent requests for bulk orders of that quantity or larger. Please contact us with detailed specifications of your request and we can provide you with an exact price quote and lead time.
[+][−]Can I place an order over the phone?
Currently orders can only be placed through our website. Setting up the ability to accept phone orders would cost us significantly more money therefore affecting the price of our products. We want to keep cost as low as possible for our customers.
[+][−]Do you have a print catalog that you can mail to me?
We only offer an online catalog on our website. We do not have a print version of the catalog that can be mailed.

We accept Credit/Debit Card thru 2CheckOut and Check/Money Order. We do not accept and payment information over the phone. All orders must be placed through our website and payed using the methods listed above.

Yes, we do. As long as USPS can ship to your location we can ship products to you.
Shipping / Returns [+][−]What shipping method do you use?
In an effort to keep costs as low as possible for our customers we have chosen the United States Postal Service as our carrier. We offer the option of either First Class Mail or Priority Mail. The rate is calculated based on the total weight of the item(s) ordered. The USPS restricts First Class Mail to 13 ounces or less so large orders will have to be shipped using Priority Mail. If you would like to use a different shipping method please contact us prior to ordering to arrange for alternative shipping.

We try to ship all orders within one to two business day of receiving cleared payment. Depending on quantity, products ordered and volume of daily orders, it may take longer. Processing delays will be noted on our website during checkout. Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include holidays. Orders placed with payment method of Check, Money Order or Online Check will not ship until payment has cleared.

After an order is received payment must be verified and then we begin processing your order. Depending on quantity, products ordered and volume of daily orders, it normally takes between one to two business days but may take longer. Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include holidays. Once an item ships the transit time varies depending on your location and the shipping method selected. USPS First Class mail usually varies from 2 - 6 business days and Priority Mail usually varies from 2 - 3 business days. USPS does not guarantee these delivery times, they are only estimated times. Once an item ships we have no control over how long it takes USPS to deliver a package. Delays can happen within the delivery system such as severe weather, snow storms, hurricanes, natural disasters or even techincal difficulties within the postal system itself. NO! The 2 - 3 days only covers estimated USPS transit time only. It does not include the necessary time required to verify payment and actual processing of your order. USPS Priority Mail varies from 2 - 3 business days but USPS does not guarantee the delivery times, they are only estimates. Once an item ships we have no control over how long it takes USPS to deliver a package. Delays can happen within the delivery system such as severe weather, snow storms, hurricanes, natural disasters or even techincal difficulties within the postal system itself. USPS shipping transit time varies from 2-6 business days for items shipping within the lower 48 United States and 5-10 business days for items shipping to all other locations.
Once your order has shipped you will receive an email notification which includes a USPS Tracking/Delivery Confirmation number that can be used to view status updates for your package. You may log into your account at any time to view a printable receipt, view the status of your order and USPS Tracking/Delivery Confirmation status of your package once it ships.

We are unable to give cash or credit card refunds for products due to color dislike. We do not allow returns or exchanges of items already shipped due to a preference change in product options such as knot core, color or size. We are not responsible if you order the wrong color, core or size for a product. On a case-by-case basis we will consider providing a product refund if you are not satisfied with the quality and/or craftsmanship of your product(s). After providing us with your reasoning for dissatisfaction we will determine if a product return will be accepted. Your refund will be issued once the item(s) have been shipped back to us. You are responsible for the return shipping charges. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order if you wish to return an item so that we may issue you an RMA number to include in your return package. Items being returned must be received by us within 7 days after issuing a return authorization.
